Sweet Bonanza Features

Sweet Bonanza is a 2019 slot game developed by Pragmatic Play. It features a unique 6-reel by 5-row grid with a scatter pays system, meaning wins are determined by the total number of matching symbols anywhere on the screen, rather than traditional paylines. To win, players must land at least eight identical symbols.

This slot incorporates a tumble feature, where winning symbols disappear after payout, allowing new symbols to fall into place. This tumble sequence can continue multiple times within a single spin as long as new wins keep forming. The base game does not include multipliers.

How Free Spins Are Triggered

The Free Spins Feature activates when four or more lollipop scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels. These scatters also award a payout worth three to one hundred times the stake, depending on whether players land four, five, or six scatters. Activating free spins grants ten spins initially.

Scatter Pays and Wins

Sweet Bonanza uses a scatter pays system where the total count of matching symbols anywhere on the reels determines the win. Unlike paylines, this means symbols do not have to be aligned in traditional patterns but simply need to appear in sufficient quantity on the grid, starting from eight matching symbols.

The gameplay of Sweet Bonanza is defined by several core features that make the slot engaging and dynamic. These include the tumble mechanic, multiplier symbols exclusive to the free spins, and the use of special reels during the bonus round.

The tumble feature removes winning symbols from the reels and lets new symbols cascade down, potentially creating new wins within the same spin sequence. This mechanism also applies to free spins, increasing winning opportunities per spin.

Multiplier Symbols in Free Spins

During the free spins round, multiplier symbols shaped like candy bombs appear randomly. Each multiplier carries a value ranging from 2x to 100x. These multipliers remain on the screen throughout the tumble sequence and combine by addition. At the end of the tumbling round, their total value multiplies the win amount from that sequence. This feature can significantly boost payouts during free spins.

These multiplier bombs do not appear in the base game and only activate within the bonus round, presenting a distinct gameplay shift that increases excitement and win potential.

Retriggering Free Spins

Players can extend the free spins round by landing three or more lollipop scatters during free spins. Each such occurrence grants five additional free spins, allowing for extended bonus play and more chances to win with multiplier effects.

This retrigger mechanism encourages longer feature sessions and adds strategic value to the scatter symbols beyond their initial triggering function.

Sweet Bonanza is a 6-reel, 5-row slot game by Pragmatic Play that uses a scatter pays system. It requires eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid to win, eliminating traditional paylines. The tumble feature clears winning symbols and allows new ones to fall into place, possibly creating successive wins in one spin sequence. The base game does not include multipliers.

Free Spins and Multipliers

The Free Spins Feature triggers when four or more lollipop scatter symbols appear, awarding 10 free spins and a scatter payout that ranges from 3x to 100x the stake depending on the number of scatters. During free spins, candy bomb multiplier symbols with values between 2x and 100x can land and remain on screen through multiple tumbles. Their values add together and multiply the win total of the tumble sequence. Additionally, landing three or more scatters during free spins grants 5 extra free spins, extending the bonus round. Special reels replace the base reels during this feature, enhancing multiplier and scatter frequency.
